Common Errors

t

  1. Don’t call me “Teacher”.
Usually only little children say “Teacher”.
USE a person's name when you talk to them, or "sir" or "miss" or "ma'am" if you do not know their names.

  2. Remember to use Capital Letters at the beginning
of sentences & for proper names.

  3. Use the right punctuation at the end and
    in the middle of sentences.

  4. DON’T start written sentences with a conjunction. (and, but, so, or, because…etc.)

  5. The symbol '#' is not a 'sharp' except in music terms.
Many of my students mistake the '#' for a sharp, but that is only in music.
In English the '#' symbol means 'number'.
